Approximately 200 leading experts and policy makers from Canada and around the world gather to discuss possible solutions to the issues raised by its research.

CIGI'08: China in the Shifting World Order

CIGI’08, the fourth annual conference, will explore China’s impact as an emerging power on the world stage. It will examine how international governance structures and different regions are adjusting to this new force. CIGI'08 will bring together international experts, academics, practitioners and policy makers to discuss the global economic and political ramifications of China's dramatic growth.

CIGI is an independent, nonpartisan think tank that addresses international governance challenges. Led by a group of experienced practitioners and distinguished academics, CIGI supports research, forms networks, advances policy debate, builds capacity and generates ideas for multilateral governance improvements.
